Happy New Year, Valentine's Day and Easter!

Well...my new years resolution of posting more has already been broken - really, really, really, broken.

However, it is a sign that life has been good...obviously we have been so busy enjoying ourselves that we haven't had time to post - or we've been too exhausted - whichever. Becky is doing great and life for her is getting better as Davi starts to sleep more and more (granted, she sleeps like a champ, but we got so spoiled with Everett who sleeps like a hibernating bear). That, and finally we made it through "sick" season. Seems like everyone one of us had something...but fortunately, or unfortunately, not all at the same time. I am reminded daily that she is a woman who surpasses all women.
Everett is growing. He is a very active boy. His favorite thing to do right now is climb! He climbs on everything...and make mom and dad a little nervous. Luckily, he has a combination of his mom's wild abandon and his dads' sense of caution. He is potty trained (mostly) - we still have accidents (usually when he is very excited and distracted). Now we have to worry about appropriateness, since he will pee outside whenever he needs too. Usually, he runs behind a tree or bush or any object...regardless of whether it will serve as cover (like a bicycle stand in the park).

Davi is now 7 months old. I can't believe what a little lady she is turning out to be. She is crawling...pulling herself on things...always smiling and laughing (unless mommy or brother aren't paying attention to her)...and cute, oh-so-very-cute. She is eating solid foods (I don't know if you can actually call what she eats as "solid," but that is the baby terminology).

I am doing well. Work was oddly busy these past few months. I just finished up my first fully litigated trial! It was a lot of fun, great learning experience, but exhausting. The trial itself lasted 3 days...which is not horribly long for trials, but still a long time. Hopefully, the next one won't be as difficult since I will have more of an idea of what to do.

The End - 2007

Well, 2007 is coming to a close, and my what a year! So much has happened, I can hardly keep track. Here are some bullet points to round up the year:
1. January-March: lived in Florida/Alabama with family.
2. March: joined Air Force, went to Officer Training School
3. April: graduated from Officer Training School and caravaned from Florida to Colorado with 1 kid, 2 horses, 1 twenty-four foot U-Haul truck pulling a car, and 1 truck pulling a horse trailer -it took 3 days to get there.
4. May: Becky and Everett (with Melissa and her two children) went to Indiana for Grandpa Gingerich's funeral.
5. July: Becky moved back to Alabama while I went to Montgomery, AL for some more training.
6. September: Jenna Davi was born!!
7. September: moved back to Colorado and Pauline came out to help with the new baby.
8. October: Tim and Emily (with Wesley and Jayden) came out to visit.
9. November: went to Indiana for Thanksgiving
10. December: Leon, Pauline and Nathan came out and we went to Durango to spend Christmas with Jake and Dawn.
11. Everett: got a new sister, started potty training, started sleeping in big boy bed, started talking, and learned to swim (kind of).

Well, that is a summary of most everything - I am certain I forgot something. We put together a short video for everyone...a 2007 year in review. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanksgiving

We went to Indiana this Thanksgiving. Haven't been up there in a little while, so we decided we should go. Grandma (who is soon to be 94) hadn't met Davi yet, so it was important to get back to the Hoosier state. It was great to see family! Being so geographically separated from everyone it was nice to reconnect with long lost cousins, and to spend some time with the grandparents, aunts, uncles and friends.

As you can see Davi is getting bigger and bigger. In a few days (Dec 8th) she will be three months! She is quite the little cutie and has definately stolen moms heart...not to mention her older brother's - who loves his little sister. He even holds his phone up to her ear so she can "talk."

We are wrapping up another year. Lots has happened this year - new job, new state, new home, new baby and new community. With all that has happened, it has been easy to see the Lord's hand at work - He has truly blessed us. May you all be blessed this holiday season. Merry Christmas! Love Jeremy, Becky, Everett and Davi

Jenna Davi

This is our new girl - Jenna Davi. We call her by here middle name "Davi." She was born September 8th and 8 lbs 11oz and 21 inches long. Everett is excited about his new sister. He shares his toys with her and even tries to feed her his Cheerios. He is getting used to mom's attention not always being on him. Other than that, everyone is adjusting well to having a new person around. Right now she is alseep on the couch next to me...making all these cute little squeeky noises that babies make. As you can see, she has a full head of dark brown hair. It looks like she is taking after mom's side of the family. Speaking of mom, Becky is doing great! She is an amazing mother and an even more amazing wife.

Greetings from Colorado

Hey everyone. Just wanted to drop a quick update.
1. I graduated from Commissioned Officer's Training - yeah!
2. Becky is pregnant with a 95% girl (not that she is only 95% girl, but we are only 95% certain).
3. We moved to Colorado Springs, CO...and we are living on Peterson AFB.
4. I finally have a full time job!
5. We have new contact information (phone numbers and address), so please email us if you have not already received an email from us.
6. We love and miss our family, but we know this is where God want's us.
7. Everett is awesome!!! He walks around pointing at things and 'talking/asking questions.' Breaks my heart...I don't know what is going to happen when I have a daughter.

Home Update

We did not get the first home. The owners would not come down enough on the price. We had a second home in mind, so yesterday we placed a bid on that one. The first home we bid on didn't need any work; the second home needs some TLC, which is right up our ally. Hopefully, we will get it. We'll let you know. Becky and I are on our way to Waffle House for a little alone time - I know, I know - I am so romantic.

Family Update

Hey everyone! I am off to Commissioned Officer Training ("COT") in a few days. Please beware, this websites use of acronyms will steadily increase. I'll be in Montgomery, AL for four weeks before returning to Pensacola, FL to pack a U-Haul and drive 1400 miles to Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado. We will arrive in Colorado about the First of May.

We placed a bid on a house today. Real estate bidding is so boring. Faxing paper back and forth is hardly a way to negotiate. Though it forces you to look at the facts you have and determine the other party's status without the ability to read their face. It is hard to judge the human element with no human subject.

Becky is 17 weeks along today!!! I am looking forward to finding out if our child is a male or female. Notably, my excitement has a lot to do with the fact that I want to pick out a name. I am really excited about picking out our second child's name. It is the first opportunity I have to shape the life of my children...so it is a daunting, yet exciting, task.

I am a little nervous about joining the Air Force. I waited so long for this day...and here it is. No time for second thoughts (mostly because I already signed my Oath). Well, next time you see me I will be in uniform - with short hair.
